Electric Vehicle (EV) Racing TEAM APEV

July 9th, 2015 TEAM APEV Driver Nobuhiro Tajima paid a courtesy call visit to Shizuoka Prefecture, Iwata City Mayor Mr. Osamu Watanabe to report his achievement of taking Overall 2nd place at the 93rd Pikes Peak International Hill Climb race and the historic significance of electric vehicles (EV) dominating Overall 1st and 2nd place.

Among the western Shizuoka prefecture, where automotive industry are gathered, Iwata City is a municipality especially focused on advancing the proliferation of EV.

Many businesses having an office in the city are involved in EV development, and the city itself participates by accepting EV converted cars and Ultra Compact Mobility EV for public service vehicles to assist in the demonstration experiment, which clearly shows that the entire campaign is a joint effort between government and people.
